Give God Time

Paul calls us to a crucial balance: truth with love. Truth without love is cruelty. Love without truth is sentimentality. But truth spoken with love is transformative.

In a polarized world, where people shout truths without love or silence truths out of fear, followers of Christ are called to be different. To speak honestly and gracefully. To confront without destroying. To correct without condemning.

This applies in your closest relationships. With your spouse, your children, your friends, your fellow believers. There are times when love requires saying something difficult. Not to hurt but to edify. Like a surgeon who cuts to heal.

Giving God time gives you the wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent. It gives you the right words at the right time. It gives you the tone of grace that turns a confrontation into an opportunity to build someone up.

Today, if there's something you need to say to someone, ask God for the right words and the right time. Truth in love is a gift, not a weapon.
