Day 18 · Discover
God's Plans Are Good
"For I know the thoughts that I have toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you the end you hope for." — Jeremiah 29:11
Jeremiah 29:11 is one of the most quoted verses in the world, but few know its context. God spoke these words when Israel was in exile—far from home, in strange territory, probably feeling abandoned. And in the midst of that darkness, God says, "I have good plans for you."
This means that God's plans are not dependent on your current circumstances. You may be in your own "exile"—a difficult season, a crisis, an emotional desert—and yet God has good plans for you. Not generic plans. Personalized plans, thoughts of peace, a future with hope.
To give God time is to trust in His plans even if you don't understand them. It's believing that He's working behind the scenes, connecting dots you can't see, setting up something you can't even imagine.
Today, declare out loud, "God has good plans for me." Even if your situation doesn't reflect it yet, God's Word doesn't lie. His promise is firmer than your circumstance.
Prayer
Lord, I choose to believe that Your plans for me are good, even though I don't see them complete today. I trust Your future for me. Amen.
