Day 3 · Discover
Time as an offering
"Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." — Matthew 6:33
What is the first thing you do when you wake up? For most, the answer is to check your phone: messages, social media, news. Without realizing it, we hand over the first fruits of our day to a screen instead of to the Creator.
Jesus taught a principle of order: "Seek first the kingdom of God." The word "first" is not only chronological, it is about priority. When God is first in your day, everything else is rearranged. It's not that your problems go away, but that your perspective changes. You see with eyes of faith what you used to see with eyes of fear.
Giving God time is an offering. Not the offering of what you have left over, but of the best you have: your attention, your first thought, your first breath of the day. When you hand him those first few minutes, you're declaring, "You're more important than everything that comes after."
God doesn't need your time. But you need time with Him. And when you give it to Him, He takes care of the rest.
Prayer
Jesus, today I give You the first of my day. May my first thought be for You, and may that transform everything that follows. Amen.
